Voodoo Playtesting
On 24, Feb 2013 | No Comments | In Blog, Games | By KaTi
Opting for some inappropriate moves? Our T-t-touch Me – interface was a super success at last weeks playtesting session. The wiring is a very rough prototype so unfortunately the current flow was unreliable. But what first seemed an annoying bug, surprisingly turned out a boost of interaction and engagement.

Having organized the annual Global Game Jam at the Cologne Game Lab for the past three years, I finally broke the spell and managed to participate in the fourth and recent jam for the very first time.
Maya – The Magic Chocolate
On 05, Dec 2012 | No Comments | In Blog, Games | By KaTi
Maya – The Magic Chocolate is an advanced memory game for families and kids age 4+. Your mission is to hide and recollect as many cocoa beans without being caught by infamous Montezuma´s guards. But beware of the bitter and rotten beans – those will keep you from confecting your own magic chocolate.
The game is a handcrafted paper prototype which was originally intended to be played with real cocoa beans and a “cook your own chocolate”-reward session as an extension to the game experience.

Hi everyone and thanks for downloading, playing and commenting my first digital game “drop.
The game is part of the Rapid Fire Prototyping Project at the Cologne Game Lab where I have startet my studies in Game Development and Research 4 months ago.
Juggeling with minimal flash coding experience and being bound to a very little time frame I decided to realize this game with Game Maker for MAC, where you can work with a mix of drag&drop and code snippets. I startet out with focussing on the basic gameplay elements and then added the different assets, design and music elements in various iterations.
The lovely music was composed by my dear friend Julia Klomfass.
Tools: Game Maker for Mac (Fullversion), Photoshop CS4, Logic 7
Development Time: approx. 24 hours
“drop (Jump&Run Prototyp)
Tools: Game Maker for Mac (Fullversion), Photoshop CS4

Exposure 3 (action card game)
On 02, Oct 2011 | No Comments | In Blog, Games | By KaTi
EXPOSURE is based on a project which I started working on with Claus Daniel Herrmann, Olga Epikhina, Roman Jungblut und Maren Keitel in my first semester at the Cologne Game Lab.
The game is based on lightpainting, so in addition to the cards players will need a DSLR photo camera with manual exposure, LED lights or other fancy light sources.
Playable in 2 teams with 2 players each. In- and outdoor.
Stopover Lisboa (Adventure Game Konzept)
