Joint Talk on Wednesday, July 5 10AM
Featuring two of TH Köln´s flagship projects in the field of VR and AR, the talk will highlight challenges and opportunities in production and experience design.
By introducing a system for capturing the material appearance of real surface that was developed at TH Köln, Arnulph Fuhrmann (Institut für Medien- und Phototechnik) will discuss the importance of realistic material appearance for immersive 3D product visualization. Katharina Tillmanns (Cologne Game Lab) will share design considerations from the HisToGo project – a location-based multiplayer game that uses AR technology to provide a novel on-site learning experience for teaching history.
We will be presenting the current version of the Airtime VR Paragliding Sim Prototype during the expo.
